Sell software online

Steps for Selling Software online

Selling software is an activity that quite obviously, needs to be done online. There are significant advantages of being able to do all these steps in a few minutes: find a useful software product, learn about it, download it, install it, test it, and reach for the credit card to buy it.
Paradoxically, many software programmers are unaware of the huge resources for selling software online, and do not even have a web site. Or they have a nice one, with plenty of Flash animations, and no elements for web ranking.

We need an exact definition of plagiarism: suggested formula

Plagiarism is to copy a source, without proper recognition and authorization. Some degree of similarity is accepted: it can be a coincidence, an involuntary emulation, or an accepted practice. But an important degree of similarity is not accepted and constitutes an intellectual property violation.

There is no exact definition of when a work incurs in plagiarism, and in these times of Internet and easy cut-and-paste we need to be more precise.

Making sites vs. making pages: different strategies to obtain conversions from Search Engine traffic.

When we create internal pages in a web site we do not usually expect that visitors will be convinced to buy the product just by reading them. They are, after all, units in a large set of pages called a site. The whole site is in charge of delivering the message and convincing visitors. However, the search engines rank pages for its individual content as defined by a few keywords.
At the beginning of the Web Marketing science, the idea of having a page was nice and useful, usually being enough for a promotion. Later, people started having complete sites, in order to provide more complete info and improve the chances of being found in the search engines. A site could sit in a sub domain, sometimes in large domains providing cheap or free hosting.
Having its own domain, with a carefully chosen name, became the next logical step.
Currently, it is cool to have a blog, for frequent and easy updates. And the savvy clients order a cluster of domains, with related names, sitting on servers with different Ips.

Viral Strategies for Internet Marketing

Viral e-marketing is a system that propagates the word about a product or service with minimum effort, using resources taken from the recipients of the message. As the viruses do, the viral marketed idea or product grows exponentially, for as long as it finds “food” or usable resources. Viral marketing is usually accomplished by information products that are freely distributed, carry the originators´ message and use the recipients resources.    Continuar leyendo “Viral Strategies for Internet Marketing”

Viral Marketing Products

When the average marketer starts reading about Viral Marketing, the first question that appears is: How can I do Viral Marketing in behalf of my product or service?

Let’s compare this situation with the offline Viral Marketing. You would go to a company specialized in advertising materials, like pens, baseball caps, T-shirts, car window stickers or paper pads. You would order to print your logo on them, and start giving them away to clients and friends.

In the same way, when you want to start an Online Viral Marketing campaign, you would go to a site that offers all kinds of products, customizable with your logo, URL address and advertising message. Of course, the variety of digital products is huge, and there are more and more every day. It would be easy to pick up the wrong product and fail miserably after having spent a few thousand.

In our Ideotic section we are offering a large number of products or services that can carry your ad, with a strong chance of a fast and wide spread over the Internet. You can also see our Viral Marketing ebook with proposals for campaigns based on many different sites, softwares, videos, CDs or other formats.

The format of the project is decided starting from its features and potential, and we usually use a multi-format approach: software, video, ebook, images, audio files and many others.

Sometimes it is very obvious when an idea will become viral. However, going from idea to implementation is difficult for most people, who do not manage the web promotion technology and tools. It is easy to spot a strong project and say: “I wish I had done it”, but that hindsight is usually pointless. For instance, I recently saw a social network for cheating married adults, and immediately recognized its potential. Unfortunately, it was someone else’s idea and project.
However, there are still plenty of high-potential projects to carry out.

We are concentrating our efforts in improving the methodology to spread ideas across the web, using web design, CMS, SEO, SEM, social networks and clever software selected over the years. With all these elements, any good idea can be designed, implemented, promoted and turned into a profitable enterprise.
Discussion of ideas is good, because the brainstorming originates improvements and ways to carry out the projects. Readers are welcome to contact us for a fruitful project discussion. We can sign confidentiality and non-circumvention agreements if the customer wants to do it.

We have a SEO Audit service, and we are always in the look for new issues to detect. So far we have about 50, and most webmasters should be aware of those. On average, a website incurs in 30-35 faults that negatively influence its rankings.

The number of in-site factors to be addressed is quite large. The most important ones are revelead by Google itself, if you have a Webmaster account. But many others are not divulgued, and you need to hang around the good webmaster forums for a while before you can identify them.

Technology Transfer by means of SEO, Web 2.0 and conventional web tools

The author is completing a methodology to be sold to Universities as part of a Technology Transfer Program.

Most universities have no technology transfer office, and others have a couple of employees who only make a few phone calls and expects for events to happen by themselves. A few ones are leaders in this field and promote actively its achievements by modern digital marketing techniques. We offer to every institution the outsourcing of this valuable service, using the same techniques that these days sell almost anything on the web.

There will be a Consulting Marketplace, with all possible categories to help classify the offers and demands, and to allow efficient matching of problem posers and problem solvers. Both companies looking for solutions and individuals offering services can find each other and become partners.

Our automated site creation software for Google ranking

We are improving our page-generation software, obtaining every time better sites and always good positioning results.

We recently made a project for our Spanish SEO site, www.yo1ro.com and got excellent results for most of the keywords. It is very interesting to analyze the results of the near 80 pages made, and which ones obtained good results. All pages have one of 5 templates, depending on their role in the site network: sitemap, 1st level keyword, 2nd level keyword, index to secondary domain pages, randomly combined keywords.

Since we can change the structure of the templates, getting different keyword densities and element (image, metatag, heading, tag) combination, there are many experiments to be made. Those experiments let us know which factors are important (positive or negative) for results.

If you understand some Spanish, ask us for the  detailed results of this experiment. Ohterwise, wait a couple of weeks for the next English experiment resutls.
